Noel McAllister

“Ka mīharo au ki ngā matauranga katoa o ā matou tīpuna.”

Noel’s inspiration comes from the knowledge that his tīpuna utilised from Te Taiao.  After an accident left him paralyzed from the neck down, Noel was determined to regain movement, live life to the fullest, and make a positive difference for others.

His journey into the world of Toi Māori has been evolving over many years, helping Noel further refine his practice. Toi whakairo brings him a personal sense of inner peace and humility; time stands still, and he can just be himself and do his own thing.  Many of his works have become taonga that have helped support whānau and iwi.
