Joshua is a passionate self-taught carver based in Tamaki Makaurau. He often works with a range of traditional art forms, including and not restricted to taonga puoro, heru, and pa kahawai. Each piece is crafted from traditional materials such as animal bone, native wood, and pāua embellishments. His attention to detail is made evident in the fine, intricate patterning continually reflected within his pieces.
