Description:  Stone Sculpture

The final stages of this carving was to separate the front and back, then add the delicate design up the side.  It was at this point Brett realised he had created a male (taha tāne) and female (taha wahine) connecting together as one.  He wanted a name that describes connection

Brett was reminded of the whakatauki;

Waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toiroa
Let us keep close together not far apart

Materials:  Pākeho – Oamaru limestone

Dimensions:  880 X 300 X 250 mm

Freight:  Arranged by email or artist can deliver within Palmerston North and Wellington

Note:  

  • Pākeho should only be lifted NEVER dragged or shimmied
  • Sculpture is pinned to a Macrocarpa display block and is not included but can be purchased directly from the artist for $500
